Hanover has close historical links to Britain. World Cup visitors to the city should get a chance to visit the gardens of Herrenhausen which were laid out from the 17th century onwards. The gardens include a fantastic maze, botanical gardens, modern hot houses and two museums.Probably more importantly Hanover is home to two of Germany's best beers and all World Cup visiting fans are recommended to sample these brews: Gilde and Herrenhausen. The World Cup Hanover stadium is one of the al purpose built stadium and while it has been especially built it is one of the smallest stadiums with a capacity of 44,000 people and was completed well in time in December 2004.
