Mexico

Mexico

Mexico are perennial qualifiers for the World Cup and they will be once again involved in 2010 in south Africa although qualification was not quite so straightforward on this occasion. The Mexicans are normally so clinical in qualification but they do look slightly weaker at the moment than usual and that showed as they lost a few games in their group.

Having said that, they are still an experienced team who will be looking to get out of the group stages in South Africa and they are ready to stand up to any team both physically and in terms of class. The side are now Managed by Javier Aguirre who took over from Sven Goran Eriksson following a poor run of results and Aguirre has managed to turn the fortunes round to lead them to South Africa.

Mexico will be looking to make it out of the group stages in South Africa and that would be considered a success after a difficult couple of years for the team, the team has some star names like Carlos Vela, Rafael Marquez and Giovani in their ranks so there is no shortage of flair.
