Eusebio
In the 60's Eusebio was the complete player and he stared in the 1966 World Cup in England for Portugal. In the 1966 World Cup he scored a total of 9 goals in 6 games.
Franz Beckenbauer
Beckenbauer played in three World Cup tournaments and was a model for all that is good about German football. Beckenbauer is the only man to have captained and coached a World Cup winning team.
Maradona
This Argentina World Cup legend came to the fore in the 1980's where he took over the mantle as the new king from Pele. Will always be a cheating little bastard in English eyes though!

Without doubt Pele is the number 1 World Cup legend and is the most famous footballer ever. He played in four World Cups and he was a World Cup winner three times
