Japan

Japan

Japan are regulars at the World Cup over the last few tournaments but they are yet to make a real impact on the tournament which is something they will be eager to change in South Africa. The Japanese had a good qualifying campaign as always just finishing in behind Australia and they do have some players with good European experience who will need to be on top form if they are to make it through the group stages.

Coach Takeshi Okada will be in charge of the likes of Junichi Inamoto and Shunsuke Nakamura among others at the World Cup and although they have good players like these their overall squad does look to be weaker than most. The aim for the Japanese will be to make it through the group stages of the tournament and then who knows from there but we feel they face an uphill change and punters should avoid them when making their World Cup Bet.
